I have not! I read very few books and don’t even check about signings. I have attended filmmaking discussions and seminars and brought the script and/or DVD/poster to have it signed by a filmmaker, does that count? Also CDs or records, I love meeting musical artists. :D

But even among those I have attended, they are very few. As we’ve established, I rather admire people from afar.

Have you ever really felt a connection with someone and thought about asking them out, but chickened out?

I’m sorry I just gotta talk a little about Xena.

So this same episode, ‘Remember Nothing,’ the thing that made Xena want to turn it all back to how it use to be, was Gabrielle, having been a slave, was not the same good-loving, peaceful, talkative Gabrielle. What changed Xena’s mind was seeing Gabrielle fight back against her master and run a sword through him without hesitation. This is pretty huge, as many episodes have emphasized how Gabrielle doesn’t want to kill anyone, and it’s the reason she chose the staff instead of the sword. And for that to be what makes Xena choose her old life back, because she hated seeing Gabrielle like that, it’s just really good, okay? Gabrielle is worth more than any peaceful life Xena could wish back (also she can’t really ever avoid war anyway.)

Both Xena and Gabrielle are really well-written so far. It’s very good. This is a good show, for all its camp and occasional poor bits. It’s a good show.

I don’t think I can really say. I don’t know what your hetero tolerance level is. There has been quite a bit of hetero so far. Also I am only on the first season so I can’t say how much more there will be. All I can say is there has been a lot of gay already and also a lot of very fun and funny things. For all of the “it’s a 90s show” excuses, like it’s gonna be crap, I’ve found it pretty solidly entertaining and actually pretty good!
